Everyone loves saving money when they can. Some go way out of their way to scrimp up every deal and coupon they can to get the lowest cost at the store.

Grocery and household essential shopping alone can be a drain on the budget, especially with a family. Prices keep rising but the necessity for these products is still there, costing us hundreds, if not thousands of dollars a year, per consumer. 

Coupons are a great way to save money. Many feel it takes too long and the value is not worth it but I am here to tell you, they are worth every penny they save you. 

I got my Sunday paper and went to town pulling out the coupon inserts and checking all pages of the paper itself for in-store coupons. I did kind of score on this past paper though, I got three coupon inserts as opposed to the normal 1-2. I have so many coupons now!

These are just SOME of the coupons I clipped! $345!!

$9 off coupons towards Claritin-D! I use that! There were also accompanying $6 and $4 off coupons towards the same product. $3 and $2 off coupons good towards Alka Seltzer cold products, just in time for the winter season! $4 off coupons good at Walgreens/CVS for vitamin supplements! Loads of food and grocery coupons valued from 50 cents to $2.25. Personal hygiene coupons, some which may be used at Dollar Tree(depending on area) that will leave you paying nothing for the item. That's right....FREE. 

All in all, I clipped $345 worth of coupons from my Sunday paper. Awesome score in the world of couponing, especially since I already use so many of the products and the Sunday paper is just one way to get coupons!

You can sign up for various retailers and online merchants you shop at and get emails containing coupon codes towards your purchases, some will even throw in free gifts when you order using their coupon code!

There are so many sites around the web now that offer up coupons for online use or to download and print, promotional codes, awesome deals and more. A few of these sites are (and there are many more):

• Shopathome.com- free coupons and savings in a convenient mobile app to download 
• Mysavings.com- free coupons to download and print, great deals and savings to use online
• Groupon.com- great savings and deals, save hundreds on things you already do
• Ebates.com- online coupon codes and cashback for shopping at your favorite retailers

There are also multitudes of coupons AND free samples in magazine subscriptions(which you can also obtain free via online promotional sites). So many magazines will issue editions with free samples and coupons for those samples. Beauty magazines are notorious for this. I myself receive FREE Cosmo, Allure, RedBook, Vogue and a few more and am constantly getting eye creams, or facial cleansers, fancy new perfume cardboard spray bottles with amazing scents and more. There are always coupons with them! 

The great thing about coupons is that the savings don't just stop at the coupons. Oh no. They can go way further than that. Some stores offer coupon doubling. Depending on the item you are purchasing, some of the coupon uses can lead to free items. For example: $2 product, you have a $1 coupon, coupon is doubled when you check out making your coupon worth $2 and your purchase free. 

Take time to check out your local grocers fliers as well to find their sales. You can do this using the flier in your local paper or by viewing it online if available. A lot of the time you can match your coupons to local sales and save even more! Let's say your laundry detergent is on sale, reg price at $8.99 but is now $5.99. You have a $2 off coupon towards your detergent, the price has now dropped to $3.99 for the same bottle! You just saved $5! How awesome is that?!

Can you see the savings adding up? Hundreds and thousands of dollars can be saved every year just by clipping coupons both on and offline.
